Diaphragm WallsDiaphragm walls, which can be used as either containment or foundation structures, are one of RodioKronsa's main specialities. Our specialisation in this type of work has enabled us to break numerous records for basement excavation depths, while ensuring the impermeability of the excavated premises is maintained. IN SITU DIAPHRAGM WALLS DUG WITH A CLAMSHELL EXCAVATOR The pit is dug using a clamshell-shaped digger, either guided or under gravity, and controlled mechanically or hydraulically. IN SITU SLURRY WALLS DUG USING HIDROFRESA ® In this case the pit is dug using Hidrofresa ® high power equipment allowing any type of ground to be crushed (including high hardness rocks by means of two spiked drums mounted at the bottom of a metal mast supported by a crane, turning in synchronisation, without noise or vibrations. Guidance control enables excellent verticality to be ensured even to considerable depths (150m). PREFABRICATED CONTAINMENT WALLS Installing prefabricated tongue-and-grooved panels into the Diaphragm Wall excavation allows us to reduce thicknesses and achieve an excellent finish to the visible inner face of the wall.
